Let’s Add SSL to Mertblog.net with “Let’s Encrypt”

Hi, in this article, i will talk about “Let’s Encrypt“. We can add very easy and simple with it. If you want to learn, how it works, you can read this article. Anymore, let’s start.

Firstly, download the Certbot tool as below.

wget https://dl.eff.org/certbot-auto
chmod a+x ./certbot-auto
mv certbot-auto /usr/local/bin/

Then, just run this command.

certbot-auto

It going to download requirements with yum package manager, directly start certbot-auto.
It wants an e-mail for information and activation.

Then, ask an order, if you agree to it, write ‘A’ and continue.

Now, Which names we like to activate HTTPS? Select, them.

That’s all, congratulations, our certificate and chain have been saved 🙂
It configured my nginx file automatically for SSL.
    
As you see, it going to “Expires: Monday, July 16, 2018 at 2:38:01 PM“.
For this, we can add this line as below. This line, check it every day and
renew the certificate.

crontab -e

Add this line as below.
